CUBIC is the Magazine for Curious Kids
Each issue of CUBIC Magazine for curious kids centres around a subject such as Fruit & Veg, Colour, Exercise, Cats & Dogs, Australia, Language, Hospitals and Climate Change.
Each issue contains fantastic full page pictures, articles and answers to “why” and “how” questions.
There are word-searches, mazes and detailed explanations to help expand vocabulary.
“What-ifs”, and other great features spark a child’s imagination and feed their curiosity. It really is the magazine for curious kids.

Our aim is to help children learn how to think for themselves
Our designers and contributors are professional writers and tutors.
CUBIC Magazine is an A5, 48 page monthly magazine printed on 100% FSC certified paper (Forest Stewardship Council), and is ideal for curious kids in the 8 to 12 age range.
The magazine has engaging content and is the perfect size for your child’s bedside or backpack.

Christiane from Kingston Upon Thames says…
In each magazine, Cubic allows your child to explore a topic in depth.
It covers different angles of a theme and includes fun activities.
It brilliantly encourages children to research a theme, something that is lost in the tendency towards fast pace ‘bite size bits’ of info.

Lucy from London says…
My 10 year old son avidly reads each issue cover to cover on the day it arrives, and I’ve overheard him relaying the facts he’s learnt to friends. Hope he’s doing the same at school!

Aparna from Palo Alto, California says…
There’s something new to learn for everyone.
It picks a new concept every issue and presents it from multiple angles that make even deeper concepts accessible to young children.
For example, the issue on colours was great for explaining the bio sensitivity of our eyes and also understanding light and wavelengths. My son particularly enjoys the puzzles and word scrambles.

We do not over-simplify concepts
Despite being the magazine for curious kids in the 8-12 rage, CUBIC Magazine does not overly simplify topics or talk down to children.
When a topic has to be taken seriously, it is.
For example, mental health in sports, looking after your ears if you play or listen to a lot of music, and illness.

Why is the magazine called CUBIC?
CUBIC, as in a cube, stands for the three dimensions of education; Learning, Understanding and Application.
We believe that once a topic has been learned, it should be understood. For example, it is useful for a child to know about the Space Race in the 1950’s and 60’s.
It is even better to understand where this came from after the Second World War, and why the USA and Soviet Union were trying to dominate space.
Finally, having understood a topic, a child should be able to apply their understanding.
It is useful for a child to be able to answer maths and English questions.
It is even better to have a broader ability to see patterns in problems and to apply their own knowledge and creativity to find new answers.
