You might think the most expensive fruit in the world might be something really strange from an inaccessible part of the Amazon Forest. But you’d be wrong.
The most expensive fruit in the world (so far) is the Japanese Yubari cantaloupe – which is a type of melon.
Not long ago, two of these very special melons sold for £16,000.
A normal cantaloupe melon might cost £2. So for £16,000 you could buy 8000 (EIGHT THOUSAND) normal cantaloupe melons.
Would you pay that much for the most tasty fruit in the world?
It’s a crazy world, no?!
