The word “Husky” comes from a word referring to the people who lived in the Arctic, called Eskimo’s. The dogs were first called “Huskimo’s” and they just called “Husky”.

Husky’s usually live in cold, snowy areas and are very fast when it comes to pulling sledges. Husky owners typically breed the fastest and strongest Husky’s to produce even stronger, faster dogs.

- Alaskan Husky

Christa

By far the most popular issue which sold over an over was Christa - the astronaut. This issue was all about space and was in part a tribute to Christa McAuliffe who died on January 28, 1986 as one of the seven crew members killed in the Space Shuttle Challenger shortly after liftoff. This issue was on repeat sale for a long time at the Greenwich Observatory in London.

The Old CUBiC Magazine

This old version of the magazine was A5, 48 pages and published monthly.

‘FSC’ stands for Forest Stewardship Council, an organisation that works to promote the practice of sustainable forestry worldwide.

The Forest Stewardship Council sets standards for forest products, independently certifies that these standards have been met, and bestows labels upon the products that qualify.

Forest Management and Chain of Custody

FSC runs a global forest certification system with two key components: Forest Management and Chain of Custody.

The FSC system allows businesses and consumers to identify, purchase and use wood, paper and other forest products made with materials from well-managed forests and/or recycled sources.

We’re relaunching CUBiC Magazine as a quarterly publication.

Previously the magazine was 48 pages monthly and will now be about 144 pages quarterly.

The focus of the re-born magazine is on sparking and feeding curious minds in children age 7 and up.
