The biggest city in the world is…
Actually, it depends on how you measure it.
If you count it by the number of people who live there, then the winner is Tokyo in Japan.
In the picture above you can see the city skyline with Mt Fuji in the background.
Climbing Mt Fuji
A note from the editor:
“In the early 2000’s I went to visit a friend who worked at a University in Kobe. During the visit we took a bus (crazy idea) to Tokyo and climbed Mt Fuji. We were hopelessly unprepared and got soaked, frozen, hungry, and a bit frayed at the edges. That said, it’s a few days I’ll never forget.”

What’s Inside?
CUBIC Magazine Issue 27 is is all about Cities.
CUBIC is for curious kids in the 8-12 age range, and is a 48 page, A5 magazine packed with awesome images, activities, and articles.
This issue includes; what makes a city, a look at Tokyo, London, Singapore, Hobart, and Stockholm to name a few, word-searches, design-a-city, maps, icons, mazes and more…
For example, in one feature we encourage children to think about city planning with questions such as whether a subway or overland trains and trams are best.
We also discuss what an architect does, and how cities often have an “old town” and what that means from a historic perspective.
